Manager Groups & Events - Groups & Events Department
Hotel Okura Amsterdam is looking for a driven and experienced Manager Groups & Events to lead our ambitious Groups & Events team.

Hotel Okura Amsterdam is a five-star luxury hotel and a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World. The hotel features 300 luxurious rooms, four restaurants (three of which hold Michelin stars), two bars, extensive banqueting facilities for up to 2,000 guests, and an exclusive Health Club.
Your role as Manager Groups & Events
As Manager Groups & Events, you are fully responsible for the commercial and operational performance of the Groups & Events department within Hotel Okura Amsterdam. In this dynamic management role, you combine strategic commercial insight with operational excellence while leading a team of approximately 10–12 FTE across Events, Groups, and Account Management.
You oversee the complete groups and events journey: from commercial strategy and revenue optimization to flawless execution and delivering a consistent 9+ guest experience. In addition, you are part of the Commercial Leadership Team and actively contribute to the hotel’s overall commercial strategy and performance.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving budgets and revenue targets within Groups & Events
- Develop and implement pricing, yield, and conversion strategies
- Manage and further develop key accounts and client relationships
- Oversee the planning and execution of all groups and events
- Ensure a consistent 9+ guest and client experience
- Lead, coach, and develop the Groups & Events team
- Optimize processes, collaboration, and operational efficiency
- Responsible for forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and KPI management
- Identify opportunities for improvement in systems, processes, and automation

What we offer
- Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extension
- Salary: Job Group VIII, based on experience and responsibilities (click here for the salary scale)
- Bonus: One month salary upon achieving GOP targets
