What you can expect

The Banquet Operations department at Hotel Okura Amsterdam is the largest Banquet Operations department among five-star hotels in the Netherlands and is a market leader in terms of banqueting revenue and quality.

As a Banquet Set-Up Employee, you are responsible for setting up and rearranging function rooms to ensure everything is prepared before our guests arrive. You are well informed about all in-house events and ensure that hotel standards are followed at all times. In your role, you will work closely with our Banqueting Supervisors and Guest Relations team to make every event a success.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Ensuring that the service meets the standards of The Leading Hotels of the World;
• Setting up function rooms for various events according to hotel standards;
• Cleaning tables and function rooms according to hotel standards;
• Assisting guests with their requests and questions.

Rest assured, you will not be working alone! In addition to working within your own team, you will also work closely with other departments across the hotel. Because only by working together can we achieve the best results.

The team operates 7 days a week in shifts. You will work 7.6 hours per day and must be available to work on public holidays. Shifts are scheduled according to the events taking place in the hotel. Night shifts are occasional but may occur depending on the type of events.
