What are you going to do?
The Front Office Manager leads a large and diverse team, fosters a culture of excellence and collaboration, and ensures the highest standards of personalized service for every guest. In this role, you will work strategically to optimize guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, financial performance, and online reputation. You will partner closely with all departments, guide the Assistant Front Office Manager, and champion initiatives that elevate both the guest journey and team engagement. This is an impactful leadership position for someone with vision, operational expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
The Front Office Manager leads and oversees the daily operation and long-term development of the Front Office department, including Reception, Okura Service Team, Guest Relations, Porter/Doorman, and Concierge, ensuring the highest standards of personalized service and hospitality in line with Okura’s Omotenashi philosophy. The role is responsible for driving guest satisfaction, team performance, revenue optimization, and online reputation. The Front Office Manager acts as a strategic leader, building a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensures the department is aligned with the hotel-wide guest experience strategy and contributes actively to enhancing overall LHW and online reputation scores. Provides strategic direction to the Assistant Front Office Manager, ensuring a clear and effective leadership structure. Champions long-term service innovation, digitalization opportunities, and process improvements that enhance guest experience and operational productivity. Leads the departmental culture vision, ensuring a safe, inclusive, high-performance environment where team members thrive and develop.

In this interview, we get to know each other better. We are pleased to share information about Hotel Okura Amsterdam and the position and there is room for you to ask your questions. Of course, we are also curious about you and whether we are a match!
We will ask you to provide a reference from your previous employer(s) and we will ask them a few short questions.
You will be invited for an assessment (including a personality test, verbal, abstract and numerical reasoning ..) via LTP. This online test can be taken from home and it assesses your qualifications and suitability for the role, ensuring a thorough and fair selection process. You will also receive a copy of the report yourself so you can use it for future reference.
In this interview, we will discuss the results of the assessment you have completed and ask some follow up questions. Next to that, we dive a bit deeper into the position itself and your competencies.
