What to expect

The sales department strives for the optimal revenue mix between hotel rooms, restaurants, banquet space and the spa.

As a Sales Trainee you are responsible, together with the Sales department in striving for the optimal sales mix of hotel rooms, restaurants, banquet space and the Spa at Hotel Okura Amsterdam. You will be working in one of the most luxurious hotel products in the Netherlands and are able to increase your knowledge of sales. This internship brings a lot of responsibility and offers you the opportunity to develop yourself in a dynamic environment. Your main tasks will be:

• Assist with preparing and sending materials for sales trips and after sales mailings;
• Provide information about the hotel to clients and guests;
• Assist the sales team with FAM trips, site inspections, sales blitz and local client workshops;
• Assisting with new market/s research;
• Assisting the Sales department with Sales projects;
• Assisting the Sales Team with daily/weekly/monthly tasks and reporting;
• Attending various meetings;
• Working in an international ambiance;

Your traineeship shift will be from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 – 17:00. You are also expected to assist during events either in the evening or on weekends. It is possible to work on your thesis or school projects one day per week.

• Contract: Trainee contract, 6 months from February
• Salary: Trainee compensation of €750 euros (gross) per month based on a full time traineeship

• You are a student at one of the (hotel)schools in the Netherlands;
• You have passion for the hotel business;
• You are proactive and have a genuine interest in sales;
• You are discrete and able to handle confidential information;
• You have excellent communication skills;
• You have excellent computer skills;
