What to Expect A day in the Conference & Events department is never the same. From small executive meetings to large-scale events, at Hotel Okura Amsterdam, the sky's the limit. You will also work closely with other departments within the commercial division such as Sales, Room Reservations, Restaurant Reservations, Revenue Management, and Marketing & Communications.
As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for planning and organizing unique and memorable events at Hotel Okura Amsterdam. Your main tasks will include:
- Understanding the needs of our guests and offering them tailored proposals.
- Proactively promoting our facilities to new and existing guests.
- Assisting in implementing the sales strategy.
- Responding to all incoming sales inquiries, both internal and external.
- Creating proposals for potential guests.
Rest assured, you won’t be working alone! In addition to working within your own team, you will also collaborate closely with other teams within the hotel. We believe that teamwork leads to the best results. Your working hours are Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00, with occasional attendance required at projects and networking events.

What We Ask While we are primarily interested in you and what we can offer as an employer, we also expect the following:
- You are commercially driven.
- You have 3 or more years of experience in a similar role.
- You are able to handle stress and maintain a good overview.
- You have experience in the hotel industry and knowledge of the Conference and Events market.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
