What can you expect

As an Assistant Banquet Operations Manager you are responsible for all activities within the Banqueting department together with the Banquet Operations Manager. You work in close collaboration with our Conference & Events department to make every event successful.

You instruct supervisors, housemen and waiters, oversee the service and give clear briefings to ensure the highest quality. You coordinate and manage the service during all events and are responsible for exceeding guest expectations, by focusing on what guests find important. You ensure successful and efficient events by controlling every detail and following up on any changes that are made. When necessary you handle complaints and make sure they are followed up in the correct way. As an Assistant Banquet Operations Manager it is very important to stay in close contact with our operational departments such as the kitchen, stewarding and engineering. Your main tasks will be:

  • Instructing the entire Banquet Operations team, consisting of supervisors, housemen, waiters and temporary service staff together with the Banquet Operations Manager

  • Training and instructing Banqueting staff

  • Ensuring that the service is in accordance with standards in line with The Leading Hotels of the World

  • Attending meetings on behalf of the department (F&B Meetings and Sheet Meetings)

  • Maintaining in close contact with temporary service companies

Don't worry you will not be working alone. Besides working in your own team, you will also work with other departments in the hotel. Only by working together can we achieve the best results. You will work rotating shifts throughout the week. You will work 5 days a week. You are also available to work on public holidays. All overtime work is properly registered and compensated.


What do we offer?

  • Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extending. We want you to stay!

  • Salary: Group 7. Click HERE for the salary scale 

  • Bonus: 1 week salary when the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP (Gross Operating Profit)

  • 8% holiday allowance (pro rata)

  • 25 days of annual leave (pro rata);

  • Once a year staff discount in one of the restaurants (50%);

  • Staff discount in restaurants (20%);

  • A dry cleaning fee of net € 20.00 per month;

  • Contribution to travel expenses from 10 km (one way)

  • After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest

What are we asking?

  • You have excellent knowledge of English (fluency in both written and spoken);

  • You have at least two years of experience within a Banquet Operations and/or catering organisation at 5* level;

  • You hold excellent communication and organizational skills;
