What are you going to do?
As Housekeeping Trainee you will be mainly working on the organization, product development and the administration of the department, in close collaboration with the Executive Housekeeper. In this position you work closely with the daily operation of all departments but you will also get the chance to work on your own trainee projects.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Independently carry out projects and assignments in coöperation with the Executive Housekeeper;
• Daily administration of working hours of the department;
• Checking 5 to 10 rooms per day for quality and coaching of room attendants;
• Creating an overview of training topics for the room attendants;
• Cross-training with other departments within the hotel is possible;
• Take over some of the administrative tasks in absence of the Executive Housekeeper.

Working days & working hours
Working days are from Monday to Friday from 09:00-17:00 hours. It is possible to work 1 day a week on your school assignments or thesis.

Who are you?

• You are a student at one of the (hotel)schools in The Netherlands
• You are able to work independently
• Your internship will last at least 3 months
• You are enthusiastic, representative and guest oriented
• You have a passion for the hotel business and you would like to learn more about this
• Excellent knowledge of both Dutch and English.

Housekeeping
The Housekeeping department is responsible for the cleanliness of all guestrooms, public areas and personnel areas in the hotel. Besides this the linen room takes care of all uniforms for our personnel and the linen for the rooms and restaurants. In the night, our guests experience a Turndown Service, this is the moment that the room is prepared for the night. Since the cleaning is outsourced to an external company, you will mainly be working on the organization, product development and the administration of the department.

• Salary: we offer a trainee fee of 750 euros per month based on a fulltime traineeship
• Holidays: for an internship agreement with a minimum of 6 months, you will get 1 day off per month;
