What to expect

The Purchasing department is responsible for arranging the entire purchasing process in the hotel, with close working contact with the kitchens, restaurants and back offices. 

As a Purchasing trainee, you are responsible together with the Purchase department in guiding the purchase process in the hotel. You will work with the kitchens and restaurants. With this position, you have the behind the scenes access to one of the luxurious hotels in the Netherlands, and a place where you can increase your purchasing knowledge. This traineeship provides responsibility and offers a possibility for further growth for yourself, in which no day is the same. Your main tasks will be:

  • Preparing the daily orders for all departments on a daily basis;
  • To order, receive and stock delivered dried goods, beverages and printed matters;
  • Applying the First-in/first-out system;
  • Administration tasks such as processing invoices;
  • Ensuring a clean and well-organized store and packing area.

Your traineeship shifts will be from Monday to Friday, 5 days per week. You are also available to work on public holidays. It is possible to work on your thesis or school projects one day per week.

  • You have excellent computer skills;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (oral and written).

What are you going to do?
As Purchase Trainee you will, together with our Purchase department, beresponsible for guiding a big part of the purchase process within the hotel. You will work together with the kitchens and restaurants. You will work in the back office of one of the most luxurious hotel products in the Netherlands. This traineeship gives you a large amount of responsibilities and offers you the chance to further develop yourself in a dynamic environment

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Preparing the daily orders for all departments on a daily basis
  • To order, receive and stock delivered dried goods, beverages and printed matters
  • Applying the First-in/first-out system
  • Process the administration in an automated system (Navision)
  • Ensuring a clean and well-organized store an packing area.

Working days & working hours
It is possible to work on your thesis or assignments 1 day per week.

Purchase
The Purchase department is responsible for guiding the entire Purchasing process throughout the hotel, working closely together with the kitchens and restaurants, as well as offices.

Who are your colleagues?
The Purchase team consists of one Purchase Manager, one Assistant Purchase Manager, two Purchase Office Coordinators and one Purchase Trainee.

What do we offer?
Contract: trainee contract, minimun of 5 months as per September 2018
Salary: we offer a decent trainee fee of 500 euros per month based on fulltime
Holidays: for an internship agreement with a minimum of 6 months, you will get 1 day off per month
