What can you expect

The Le Camelia breakfast buffet combines all international influences together that Hotel Okura Amsterdam has to offer. Room service offers the ultimate experience in the comfort and privacy of your room.

As Camelia & Room service waiter, you are responsible together with the whole team in serving and offering service to guests in the restaurant and with in room dining. The team is responsible for the replenishing of the mini bars and arranging the VIP treatments. Your main tasks will be:

• Serving our guests during their stay in Hotel Okura Amsterdam according to the standards that have been set by the hotel (align with standards of Leading Hotels of the World);
• Focusing on guest contact;
• Performing tasks for Mise en Place on a daily basis;
• Taking care of minibars;
• Arranging VIP treatments in close collaboration with Guest Relations.

Don't worry you will not be working alone. Besides working in your own team, you will also work with other departments in the hotel. Only by working together can we achieve the best results. You will work 5 days per week, 7.6 hours a day. You are also available to work on public holidays. Nightshifts are not frequent however may occur.

What do we offer?

• Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extending. We want you to stay!
• Salary: Group 3. Click HERE for the salary scale
• Bonus: 1 month salary when the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP (Gross Operating Profit)
• 8% holiday allowance (pro rata);

• After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest!

What are we asking?

Of course, we are first and foremost interested in you and what we as an employer can do for you to provide a great workplace. Nevertheless we expect from you that:

• Relevant work experience (1-2 years) in a similar position and/or business is an advantage;
• You are flexible in regards to shifts (Different shifts are essential for this position);
• You live in or within the vicinity of Amsterdam;
• You have a good command of the Dutch and/or English language (both spoken as written);
• As part of the pre-employment screening, we will ask for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and a minimum of two positive references.
