What to expect

The Conference & Events department creates unforgettable events for companies and individuals. With 20 different banqueting rooms, 300 hotel rooms, 5 restaurants, 2 bars and the Nagomi Spa and Health you can ensure that every wish of our guest is fulfilled. The department is therefore very creative in finding a solution for every wish and requirement of our guests. From organizing congresses, seminars, benefit galas, fashion shows to intimate dinners or extravagant weddings, no day or event is the same with us! 

As a Conferences & Events Event Manager, you are responsible for selling the optimal mix of hotel rooms and meeting space for a successful event. Together with your colleagues, you ensure the most memorable events at the largest Conference & Events Hotel of the Netherlands. Your main tasks will be:

  • Complete organization of conferences and events that are contracted to take place in the hotels conference facilities;
  • Advise and assist conference organizers with their needs and requests leading up to the conference / event;
  • Create internal function sheets and information sheets for other departments in which agreements made;
  • Balance the guest requests versus operational achievability;
  • After sales activities.

Don't worry, you will not be working alone! Besides working with your team, you will also work closely with other departments in the hotel. Only by working together can we achieve the best results. You will work from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 – 17:00. You are also expected to be present from time to time for projects and networking events.

What do we offer?

     
  • Contract:  1 year, with the possibility of extending. We want you to stay!
  • Salary:  Group 7. Click here for the salary scale 
  • Bonus: 1 week salary if SMART goals are met
  • 8% holiday allowance (pro rata);

  • After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest!

What are we asking?

Of course, we are first and foremost interested in you and what we as an employer can do for you to provide a great workplace. Nevertheless, we expect from you that: 

  • You are commercially driven;
  • You are able to handle stress and maintain a good overview;
  • You have experience in the hotel industry and have knowledge of Conference and Events markets;
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English (oral and written)
  • You have good knowledge of Word and Excel
