What to expect
The Front Office team is responsible for welcoming our guests; check in and - out procedures and providing information and service. 

As Front Office trainee you are trained in different aspects of the Front Office and represent the hotel. You advise our guests in regards to tourism in Amsterdam, room facilities, facilities of the hotel and many other things. By following several cross-trainings, you will gain knowledge about reception work in five star segments and will learn more about the Japanese culture and wishes of international guests. Your main tasks will be:

  • Welcoming guests;
  • Checking guests in and out;
  • Escorting guests to their rooms;
  • Providing guests with any necessary information;
  • Handling payments.

The traineeship shifts are from Monday to Sunday, with rotating shifts such as: 07:00 – 15:00, 11:00 – 19:00 or 15:00 – 23:00. You will work 5 days per week, 7.6 hours per day. It is possible to work on your school assignments or thesis once a week.

What do we ask? 
We are primarily interested in you and what we as an employer can do for you. Nevertheless we expect from you that:

  • You are a student at one of the (hotel) schools in the Netherlands;
  • You are representative;
  • You are guest oriented;
  • You are eager to learn;
  • You always look for solutions;
  • You are able to work independently and in a team;
  • You are motivated and flexible;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (oral and written) and preferably speak German, French or Spanish;
  • Knowledge of the property management system Opera is an advantage, not a requirement.
