What can you expect

The Banquet Operations department at Hotel Okura Amsterdam is the largest among all five star hotels in the Netherlands and is market leader in banquet revenue and quality. Working in Banqueting is a challenging area in which no day is exactly the same. To keep our service level high, we work closely within our team but also with other teams in the hotel.  Together with the team, will you be able to ensure for unforgettable large events held at Hotel Okura Amsterdam.

 As a Banquet waiter/waitress, you are responsible together with your team, for exceeding guest expectations, by focusing on what they find most important. You are in close guest contact and responsible for offering service to all guests. Your main tasks will be:

  • Operational tasks, such as organizing coffee breaks and lunches, serving of dishes;
  • Following and conducting service in accordance with standards of The Leading Hotels of the World;
  • Welcoming guests and guiding them to their designated area;
  • Conducting daily Mise en Place activities.

Don't worry you will not be working alone. Besides working in your own team, you will also work with other departments in the hotel. Only by working together can we achieve the best results. You will work rotating shifts throughout a 7-day workweek. You will work 5 days a week, 7.6 hours per day. You are also available to work on public holidays. Shifts are planned depending on events in house. Night shifts are not frequent however may occur.
