What can you expect
Japanese Guest Relations is responsible to build and maintain a good relationship with our Japanese guests and contacts. You are the main contact person for Japanese guests and you are familiar with the Japanese hierarchy system and Japanese ways of welcoming the guests.
Japanese Guest Relations officer needs to be able to ensure that our guests have an enjoyable and pleasant stay in our hotel.
One of the most important tasks of Japanese Guest Relations is to create a warm, welcoming and personal atmosphere. Japanese Guest Relations is a host-ess and/or a contact person in the lobby to welcome, greet and escort mainly our Japanese guest to our rooms/ suites or other outlets.
As a Japanese guest relations officer you are assisting the guests efficiently, courteously and professionally in all reception related functions. You are maintaining the Japanese heritage of Okura and LHW Standards and procedures with regards to service and hospitality as set by the management.
Next to that you are assisting the front office team when needed with welcoming guests, handling the check in and out procedures and extending information and service where needed. The Front Office also is responsible for guiding guests to their rooms and handling payments.
Another important aspect of your position is handling complaints, room inspections and handling VIP requests and amenities. Your main tasks will be:
Don't worry you will not be working alone. Besides working in your own team, you will also work with other departments in the hotel. Work is carried out in shifts throughout a 7 day workweek with times such as: 07:00 – 15:00, 11:00 – 19:00 and 15:00 – 23:00. You will work 5 days in a week, 7.6 hours a day. You are also available to work on public holidays.
