To achieve this, we are looking for an enthusiastic Rooms Division Manager to join our team. What to expect

As Rooms Division Manager, you will oversee the entire operation and administration of all departments related to the Rooms Division, under the guidance of the Rooms Division Director. This includes the Front Office, Housekeeping, Security and Nagomi Spa & Health. You will participate and actively contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies within these departments. You support and actively work together with the Management Team of Hotel Okura Amsterdam. You are operationally involved and together with our department heads and employees you guarantee the high standards of Hotel Okura Amsterdam. You will show your value as well by realising improvements in guest experience and operational efficiency. You will lead and assist in long-term projects, conduct research and take charge of daily operations.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Responsible for the daily operations and organisational leadership of the Rooms Division, with a focus on guest satisfaction, cost control and being an 'Employer of choice';
  • Drawing up and managing budgets;
  • Coaching and supporting department heads;
  • Implementing improvements and tirelessly driving this in others as well;
  • Supporting and/or leading projects;
  • Quality and progress control of the division;
  • Responsible for Sustainability policy;
  • Replacing Rooms Division Director in his absence.

We expect a proactive attitude towards working days and times depending on the needs of the operation. But in general, you will work 7.6 hours a day, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.

What are we asking?

Of course, we are first and foremost interested in you and what we as an employer can do for you to provide a great workplace. Nevertheless we expect from you that:

  • Command of the English language (fluent in word and writing);
  • You are in possession of a completed Bachelor's degree;
  • You have experience within the hotel and catering industry;
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in leading a large team;
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and are self-starting;
  • Experience with leading projects is an advantage;
  • Experience within the luxury segment and Rooms Divisions is an advantage.
