What to expect
The Stewarding department is responsible for the sanitation and necessary materials for all kitchens and restaurants in the hotel, whilst maintaining the overall hygiene standards of all kitchens. In this department, there are currently 13 stewards, two supervisors and one manager. 

You will operate as a Stewarding supervisor trainee. As a supervisor, you are responsible for the coordination of daily cleaning activities in all kitchens. Throughout the shift, there will be cleaning and sanitation duties of materials used and the cleaning of the kitchen after their shift has ended. You are responsible for providing the correct materials to all restaurants and kitchens, such as glassware and silverware. Your main tasks will be:

  • Carrying out operation tasks (dishwashing and cleaning duties);
  • Directing and motivating Stewards with their daily tasks;
  • Communicating with all kitchens and restaurants on a daily basis;
  • Ensure daily checks within the team to see that all standards are being met. To correct this when not the case;
  • Providing materials needed and maintain the stock;
  • Providing input to improve activities within the team and implement it. 

In this department there are different shifts throughout the week. You will be expected to work a minimum of 4 days per week. It is also possible to work on your thesis or any assigned school tasks once a week.

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (oral);
  • You are an enrolled student at a mbo level 4 (at a Hotel school)_;
  • You have good communication skills;
