Health Club Officer / Personal trainer - trainee

What are you going to do?
Hotel Okura Amsterdam is looking for an addition to our Nagomi Health team. Nagomi Health is an oasis of tranquility in which our guests can privately exercise or relax in the fitness area or large swimming pool. Of course all of this is done under the professional accompaniment of our dedicated Nagomi Health team. Every day our professional team is ready to provide our guests guidance and explanation. In this active position you welcome our hotel guests and members and give explanations about our facilities when they are not yet known. In addition, you will support the personal trainers in guiding our hotel guests and members with individual training programs and any other matters.


Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assist the Health Club Officer with setting personal training goals for members;
  • Assist the Health Club Officer with personal accompaniment of our members and guests;
  • Welcoming our hotel guests and members in a courteous and professional manner;
  • Showing training exercises and technical facilities to our hotel guests and members;
  • Ensuring that the equipment is used in a correct manner and reporting any damages immediately;
  • Pointing out safety regulations to our hotel guests and members;
  • Report visits from members;
  • Stock keeping of towels, bathrobes, food and beverage stock;
  • Serving and actively selling beverages and small meals to our hotel guests and members;
  • Ensuring that Nagomi Health remains clean and tidy and taking samples from the swimming pool water.


Working days & working hours
Work is carried out in shifts during 7 days a week. You work minimal 3-4 days a week, 7,6 hours a day. You are also available to work on public holidays. 
The shifts are as followed
Mon-Fr 06:00-14:00 hours, 10:00-18:00 hours, 14:30-22:30 hoursSat-Sun 07.30-15.30 hours, 10.00-18.00 hours, 13.30-21.30 hours.


Who are you?

  • You are a student at an CIOS, ALO or physiotherapy course
  • Excellent knowledge of both Dutch and English (oral and written)
  • You employ excellent social and communicative skills
  • You show a flexible work attitude with regards to work hours

Who are your colleagues?
The Nagomi Spa & Health team consists of a Manager Nagomi Spa & Health,
five Nagomi Health Club Officers, two Beauticians and a receptionist.

What do we offer?
Contract:       T
rainee contract, preferably at least 5 months 

Salary:          We offer a decent salary fee of 500 euros per month based on fulltime

Holidays:       For an internship agreement with a minimum of 6 months, you will get 1 day off per month
