Associate Director of Sales

What are you going to do?
As Associate Director of Sales, you will be working closely with the Director of Sales and other senior positions within the Commercial Department to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels. As Associate Director of Sales you will coach and motivate the sales group and groom a high-performing sales team together with the Director of Sales. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage hotel sales and marketing plans to ensure they support the objectives of the business and use this to focus on the sales efforts for all market segments;
  • Manage your own market and/or segment delivering over and above the existing business;
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and senior positions within the Commercial Department to identify and drive focused activities on elements of the business that require additional support;
  • Contribute to the development of company sales and marketing initiatives by recommending, implementing and monitoring appropriate (local) activity;
  • Organize comprehensive information describing the range of products and services offered by the hotel and deliver this information through relevant sales resources and sales channels to existing and potential clients;
  • Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Senior Management Team
  • Cooperate with other departments in the hotel, to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales relationships & programmes
  • Contribute to relevant commercial meetings to develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives
  • Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
  • Be active in the local & managed market representing Hotel Okura Amsterdam

Working days & working hoursWorking days are from Monday to Friday from 9: 00 - 17: 30, flexibility outside these days and hours is expected due to business travels and network events.

  • Have experience in a similar role with a proven track record
  • Speak and write English on C1 level or higher
  • are willing to travel and you are flexible

The Sales team consists of 1 Associate Director of Sales, 2 Sales Managers, 1 Sales Executive, 1 Sales Coordinator and 1 Sales Trainee under the direction of the Director of Sales
