What are you going to do?
As Assistant Sommelier you work closely together with the restaurant supervisors and service team and are responsible for serving matching wines whilst sharing your knowledge and where needed assisting managing the team.

Work is carried out in shifts during 7 days a week. The shifts are flexible within a 38 hour week, during 5 days a week. You are also available to work on public holidays.

To be able to execute this position well, we expect that you have at least developed the following competencies to a large extent.
Yamazato Restaurant is a traditional Japanese Kaiseki Restaurant. The Restaurant is awarded with a Michelin star and ranks amongst the top Japanese restaurants in Europe. Yamazato Restaurant is opened daily for dinner from 6.00 until 9.30 pm. On Saturday and Sunday it is also open for lunch from noon to 2.00 pm.
Who are your colleagues?
The team of Yamazato Restaurant consists of approximately 30 colleagues, including 25 Japanese colleagues. The Yamazato kitchen team is comprised of 25 Japanese members. You work together with the Assistant Service Manager and four Supervisors.
