In addition to the operational departments, there are also a number of Staff Departments at Hotel Okura Amsterdam. The colleagues working in these departments provide optimum support for the operational departments.
Staff Departments are: IT, Housekeeping, Technical Service, Human Resources, purchase, F&B Office and Executive Office.
Together these departments ensure a smooth running of the processes at the front of the hotel. Cooperation is an important part of Hotel Okura Amsterdam. Only through good cooperation between the departments we can work as efficiently as possible to exceed the expectations of our guests.
Project groups are appointed for projects such as renovations and law changes. The project groups have regular meetings together and ensure a good outcome of the project.
At Hotel Okura Amsterdam we work on the basis of the Lean principle. All employees within Hotel Okura Amsterdam are trained to become a Lean White Belt. We pay a lot of attention to propagating the Lean philosophy within Hotel Okura Amsterdam. There is a Lean working group that supervises this and provides sufficient support within the organization.
