What to expect

The HR team provides the personnel policy for more than 300 colleagues and is a sparring partner for colleagues, department heads and MT – members in terms of personnel execution. It is a dynamic workplace in which no day is exactly the same.

As a Human Resources Trainee at Hotel Okura Amsterdam, you will get to know all aspects of recruitment and you will immediately apply this in practice. You are responsible for doing a vacancy intake with managers and assessing the incoming applications. You will also write vacancy texts, maintain and update our recruitment channels and you are responsible for posting on our HR Social Media channels. You conduct job interviews yourself and you carry out the resulting administrative actions, such as drawing up an employment contract. In addition, you help new employees, give them a tour and explain all the basic principles of working at Okura. In short, an internship where you can learn and do a lot!

Your main tasks will be:

• Recruitment, from assessing application to conducting job interviews;
• Writing vacancy texts and posting them on the right channels;
• Taking care of both onboarding and off-boarding of employees;
• Helping new employees in terms of direction;
• Ensuring employer branding by maintaining the website and making posts on the HR Social Media channels;
• In consultation and depending on the interest of the intern: picking up marketing and/or recruitment projects.

Don't worry you will not be working alone. Besides working in your own team, you will also work with other departments in the hotel. Workdays are from Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00. It is expected for you to be present from time to time for projects and networking events.

• Salary: We offer a trainee compensation of €500 (net) per month, based on a fulltime traineeship

• You study International Hotel Management or a mbo/hbo HRM study;
