As a Front Desk Manager you will be guiding the Front Office team during the shift. You are the first contact person for guests as well as your team members. Ensuring that the standards of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, based on Leading Hotels of the World standards, are properly maintained. You are responsible for a successful shift, you ensure that the team is properly briefed and instructed, our VIP guests are recognized, rooms according to guest preference have been arranged and possible complaints are well followed-up. You maintain close communication between the Housekeeping, Engineering and Reservations Team, ensuring a flawless guest staying experience. A few team members of the Front Office team will be assigned as your buddy, who you will monitor over the course of the year and will provide 2 official evaluations talks per year. In case of any calamities you will be the first person in command, and coordinate with Security and the BHV team to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
The Front Office team is responsible for welcoming our guests, check in and - out procedures and providing information and service. The Front Office team is also responsible for guiding guests to their rooms and handling guest payments.

The entire Front Office team consists of 40 employees including Guest Relations, Receptionists, Conciërges, Bagagists, Doormen and Telephone Operators.
